What your new role will entail: We have opportunities for experienced hydrogeologists and groundwater experts at senior/principal levels to support activities in the UK across our offices. Join our team of 30+ groundwater experts to help us with projects in the UK and overseas, ranging from groundwater source investigation to dewatering and groundwater flooding; impact assessment of major infrastructure schemes to water management; and development of strategies to better manage this precious resource.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on all aspects of hydrogeology across UK, Ireland and international projects.
  • Providing expert advice on hydrogeological conceptualisation.
  • Assisting with delivery of both water resources and engineering hydrogeology projects.
  • Preparing bids internally and externally to support growth.
  • Mentoring junior staff on their career development.
  • Developing new innovations around data and interacting with groundwater modellers.
  • Supporting surface water, aquatic ecology and hydromorphology colleagues to better conceptualise sites.
  • Working on large-scale infrastructure projects, including all stages of consenting from optioneering through environmental statements to delivery consents.
  • Supporting mining colleagues with water management issues.
  • Involved in the energy transition through ground source heat schemes and geothermal projects.

Qualifications

  • BSc Hons degree in Geology and/or Geography.
  • Experience working in groundwater and the water environment industry.
  • Relevant MSc in a practical environment related subject.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, with an aim of becoming chartered.
