Overview
As a Water Treatment Process Lead at AECOM, you will guide technical excellence across municipal potable water projects and help grow our water treatment capability in Australia and New Zealand. You’ll lead multidisciplinary project delivery, mentor engineers, and collaborate with global experts to provide practical, innovative solutions for sustainable communities. This role combines client engagement, team leadership, and strategic development of our potable water portfolio. You’ll join a high‑performing, global team committed to delivering safe, reliable water at scale.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across municipal potable water projects
- Support growth of the municipal potable water portfolio through client engagement and opportunity development
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to represent water treatment capabilities
- Lead major water treatment projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor and develop engineers to grow water treatment capability
- Collaborate with ANZ Water Leadership and global water specialists to leverage resources and deliver leading solutions
Key requirements
- Engineering degree (essential)
- CPEng and/or RPEQ/RPEV highly regarded
- 12+ years’ experience in water treatment with demonstrated technical leadership
- Strong understanding of municipal potable water projects
- Established market presence and ability to build client relationships
- Collaborative leadership style with mentoring and development focus
