Overview
In this role you support AECOM’s dams projects by delivering structural analysis, design, and assessment for concrete dams and related structures. You’ll work with a national and international team to develop sustainable water solutions, mentор young engineers, and help ensure quality through construction and inspection activities. The role offers flexible office locations across Australia and a deep, mission-driven impact in critical water infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Structural analysis and review of concrete dams, spillways and appurtenant structures
- Conceptual to detailed design of dams and structural components
- Inspection, investigation and condition assessment of existing dams
- Construction support services including QA/QC data evaluation and construction reporting
- Preparation of tenders and proposals; mentoring junior engineers
Key requirements
- Demonstrated capability in structural design within the dam industry, including design reports, drawings, and specifications
- Positive mindset with a track record of innovation, collaboration and growth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing and nurturing stakeholder relationships with clients and internal teams
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline (essential)
