Overview

In this role you will lead environmental planning and approvals work within a growing team, delivering timely environmental impact assessments and related analyses for transport, energy and infrastructure projects. You will engage with clients to build trusted relationships and contribute to business development, helping to grow our environmental approvals capabilities. You will coordinate resources and timelines to support successful project outcomes and team performance, while shaping our approach to environmental management and compliance. This is an opportunity to impact major NSW projects and contribute to a dynamic, cross-disciplinary practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments and environmental management plans across transport, energy and infrastructure projects
  • Drive high-quality project delivery within NSW, ensuring timeliness and regulatory compliance
  • Lead or support client engagement and relationship-building to foster repeat business
  • Identify opportunities, support work winning activities and contribute to business development and growth
  • Coordinate resources, budgets and timelines to support project outcomes and team performance
  • Mentor or support junior team members and promote collaborative problem-solving
  • Contribute to shaping the continued growth of the environmental approvals capability
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with other EIS professionals and sectors within the team

Key requirements

  • Experience in environmental planning, approvals and environmental consulting across transport, energy and infrastructure sectors in NSW
  • Proven ability to deliver projects and build client relationships with a track record of contributing to business development
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with mentoring experience viewed favourably
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science, environmental planning, environmental engineering, town planning or related discipline; professional accreditation viewed favourably
