Responsibilities
- Deliver – Develop system engineering plans and processes; undertake development of system definitions, technical requirements and architectures.
- Oversee – Manage technical requirements using tools such as DOORS and ComplyPro; deliver systems engineering processes that support customer requirements.
- Provide Expertise – Evaluate interrelationships of system requirements and design aspects; develop scope of works and work packages with clients; act as senior technical resource for the team and project.
- Ensure Quality – Provide specialized technical input to studies and design within your area of expertise; develop study and design procedures to enable high‑quality, cost‑effective work.
- Collaborate – Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of project deliverables; develop cost estimates and technical effort estimates; perform quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings; prepare technical specification sections; support engineering budget and schedule development.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in railway systems safety and assurance, including system safety and interoperability.
- Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
