Responsibilities
- Oversee input, peer review and verification of geotechnical data and analyses and design calculations
- Provide consultative advice to external partners across project life cycle
- Plan and manage geotechnical projects including schedules, coordination, budget
- Lead and support the Ground Engineering team to meet time and quality goals
- Build and maintain relationships with past, current, and prospective clients to sustain opportunities
- Take the Ground Engineering lead on multi-disciplinary project delivery
- Collaborate with Transport, Water, Energy and Buildings teams on project works and tenders
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology with 2:1 classification or higher
- Chartered status
- Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices
- Understanding of current geotechnical design codes, standards and best practices
- Ability to collaborate in project delivery, work-winning and client satisfaction
- Knowledge of ground conditions interpretation/parametric assessment for geotechnical design problems
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
