Overview

In this Senior Structural Engineer role, you will lead design and review of structural elements for water and wastewater infrastructure, guiding projects from concept to construction. You’ll work with clients and AECOM teams to secure buy-in, deliver high-quality calculations and drawings, and manage time and budget. The position blends technical leadership with mentoring, across a diverse portfolio of water projects. You’ll operate in a flexible, hybrid setup focused on innovative, impactful infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and review structural elements for water/wastewater infrastructure from concept through construction
  • Collaborate with clients and AECOM teams to align on technical solutions
  • Produce and review deliverables (calculations, drawings, reports) to standards
  • Manage delivery to budget, programme, and quality; assist with project planning
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and trial new methods
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and delegate tasks

Key requirements

  • Structural analysis and design experience, particularly reinforced concrete and steelwork
  • Experience with BIM and 3D design tools in a digital delivery environment
  • Membership or working toward membership of ICE or IStructE
  • Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
