Overview
As a Senior Civil Engineer in Dams & Reservoirs, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of reservoir and dam projects across the UK, shaping improvements for safety and resilience. You join a large Water team and collaborate with regulators, utilities, and contractors to tackle complex hydraulic and structural challenges. You will oversee feasibility studies, design documentation, and construction support, while mentoring junior engineers. This role offers hands-on impact in a globally recognized practice focused on water resources and sustainability.

Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design and delivery of reservoir and dam projects (embankments, spillways, outlet works, dam raising, remediation)
- Provide technical leadership for feasibility studies, options appraisals, design, and construction support
- Undertake and review dam safety assessments, hydrology studies, flood routing, drawdown, and dam breach analyses
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and design documentation
- Coordinate with Panel Engineers, regulators, water companies, contractors; lead inspections and asset condition assessments
- Support bids/proposals; mentor junior engineers; promote sustainability; engage in CPD
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in reservoir engineering, water resource management, or related consultancy
