Overview
As part of the Aviation Infrastructure team, you will contribute to diverse airport projects—from runways to navigation aids—driving design, BIM; and digital delivery. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional specialists across the UK and Europe to develop resilient, sustainable solutions that connect cities and enable growth. This role combines hands‑on engineering with digital standards and project delivery, offering growth through structured development plans. You will help shape multi-disciplinary infrastructure that supports major hubs and greenfield sites, while reinforcing AECOM’s mission to deliver a better world.

Responsibilities
- Design airport engineering elements (runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, lighting, signage, drainage, utilities) for civil and military projects
- Produce 3D models, 2D drawings, and data-rich deliverables using automation (Dynamo, Python) and Civil 3D APIs
- Manage models and documentation in ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud with BIM workflows (ISO 19650, BEPs)
- Organise delivery tasks in line with project programmes and budgets
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams (planners, architects, engineers, digital leads) and participate in client meetings
- Assure model validation and clash detection using Navisworks Manager; uphold AECOM QA processes
- Improve digital standards, libraries, and templates across projects
Key requirements
- Advanced Autodesk Civil 3D capability (corridors, surfaces, pipe networks, grading, data shortcuts)
- Knowledge of BIM processes beyond Level 2 and ISO 19650 information management
- Proficiency with ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, and Navisworks Manage
- Experience with Dynamo, Python, or Civil 3D automation tools
- Experience in design, planning and construction support of civil projects; airport experience desirable
- Knowledge of DMRB or highway civil design
- Knowledge of Civil Aviation standards (ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA)
