As Senior Architect/Designer, you will drive multi-disciplinary architectural design for data centre projects across Europe from our UK hub.
You collaborate with engineering leads to deliver integrated outputs within tight timelines and ensure safety-focused design governance.
You’ll present to clients, uphold Technical Excellence, and guide teams through digital design workflows.
This role blends hands-on design with leadership, enabling multi-site coordination and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate design across architectural and engineering teams to deliver integrated outputs.
- Ensure governance and quality controls at bid stage and during delivery.
- Present design concepts to clients and prospective clients.
- Apply CDM Safety in Design principles throughout design stages.
- Organise work to meet deadlines and manage multi-disciplinary design documentation for correctness.
- Maintain adherence to AECOM Technical Excellence standards.
- Facilitate client, contractor, and regulatory communications to resolve issues.
- Support Design Team Interface with Site Team for timely design support.
- Assist with Technical Excellence initiatives, resource management, and CPD/training.
- Utilise up-to-date software and digital tools to boost productivity and staff training.
- Key requirements
- Fully Qualified Architect or Technologist with experience on large multi-disciplinary design projects, preferably Data Centres.
- Proficient in CAD; experience with Auto CAD and REVIT; working knowledge of REVIT 3D modelling required.
- Knowledge of Sketchup, Photoshop, In Design, Power Point; training available.
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as Forma ACC, Project Wise, Autodesk Docs.
- Attention to detail; methodical design planning and organization.
- English proficient with strong communication skills.
