Overview

As Associate Director in our Aviation Infrastructure team, you will lead multidisciplinary airport programs across a range of environments from major hubs to general aviation. You’ll align project objectives with AECOM goals, drive technical excellence, and nurture strategic client relationships. You’ll identify new opportunities and steer bids to support growth in aviation. You’ll also recruit and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary airport projects, ensuring cross-disciplinary alignment with business goals
  • Oversee technical delivery and provide expert input to the design team to maintain high standards
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; provide strategic advice and represent AECOM at meetings and industry events
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Aviation Infrastructure sector; lead bids and proposals
  • Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing airport planning and civil engineering team; foster collaboration and inclusion

Key requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Professional qualification: Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in design, planning and construction support within airport environments
  • Knowledge of Civil and Military Aviation standards and practices (ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA)
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Solution-oriented mindset with willingness to challenge status quo and propose innovations
  • Experience leading project teams and cultivating a culture of learning and technical excellence
