Information Manager (CDE Superuser)
This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and organisation of project-related information and contractual documents across various projects in the UK. A thorough understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) systems is essential, along with exposure to large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and operation of the organisation’s CDE.
- Set up new project standards and develop “how‑to” guides for new projects.
- Manage day‑to‑day administrative tasks related to CDE, including invitations and workflow updates.
- Provide training to internal and external project members on project‑specific CDE systems and protocols.
- Become the regional expert in CDE usage, offering training and support to new users.
- Produce regional system usage reports for project teams and the System Manager.
- Liaise with DCs and project teams to provide effective feedback & reports to steering & management teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to ensure efficient CDE utilisation and offer best practice advice.
- Manage incoming datasets on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with protocols and standards.
- Implement thorough QA/QC procedures on all transmitted information, ensuring compliance with project protocols.
- Control project documentation across multiple simultaneous projects and maintain project record files.
- Serve as the point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal management regarding project information auditing and sourcing.
- Download and distribute formal and informal issues to internal teams and consultants.
- Review drawings, attach relevant comments, and submit them back onto project systems.
- Manage essential project forms such as RFIs, correspondences, and site submittals.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of digital security systems to safeguard sensitive project information.
- Monitor incoming project deliverables against MIDPs and produce reporting accordingly.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience and strong knowledge of CDE (CDE Superuser).
- Methodical approach to work with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office packages (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Access), Autodesk Forma, Aconex and basic understanding of AutoCAD/Revit, including PowerApps workflows.
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO19650, GDPR, etc.).
- Hold a suitable Information Profession qualification or equivalent, and/or have experience at Practitioner Level (EO/HEO) of the Government Knowledge & Information Management (GKIM) Professional Skills Framework.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in information management.
Must be able to obtain necessary security clearances required by the role.
