It’s an exciting time for our Ports and Maritime team with major project success and workload growth. AECOM is one of the global leaders advising a broad range of clients in the planning, design and construction of Marine Engineering and offshore infrastructure across an array of size and type. A key focus area for AECOM is Ports & Maritime, with substantial growth potential.
The UK Ports and Marine team are looking for all levels of experience from Senior Engineers, Principal Engineers, Associate Directors, Project Managers and NEC Supervisors across the UK to support on multiple UK and international projects including:
- Maritime Engineering
- Defence Estates
- Waterfront Developments/Regeneration
- Renewable Energy projects
- Major Civils and infrastructure in the Marine Environment
- Port expansion
- Coastal defences
- Marinas and harbours developments
- Cruise & Ferry Terminals
- Inspection and maintenance of Historic Harbours
This extends to all stages in the project cycle, from project inception, preparing the business cases developing innovative conceptual ideas, performing detailed design, to procurement of contractors, Management and supervision of the construction stage, completion and project close out. We perform the full project life cycle.
The UK & Ireland team sees significant ongoing investment opportunities to service the defence, freight, port terminal operator, cruise and offshore wind sectors. These drivers aim to improve efficiency, decarbonisation, application of digital solutions and improved surface connectivity.
We are delivering some of the biggest and complex infrastructure port projects worldwide for major clients. One landmark project is New Doha (Hamad) Port project Qatar, a US$7 billion greenfield port development where AECOM is a Project Management Consultant.
To support our growth strategy in this sector, we seek a strong market sector leader. This individual will have a growth mindset and understand the power and importance of client relationship management. We are currently working remotely and so would welcome applicants from all UK locations, however, our Ports and Marine offices are based in Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Basingstoke, Bristol, Exeter, London, Southampton and Plymouth.
Working with an established Ports and Marine team with over 70 years of shared experience, we are looking for all levels of experience from Senior Engineers to Technical Directors, Project Managers and Supervisors to join the team in delivering a wide range of projects with key clients including local authorities, regulators, defence organisations, private developers and port operators as well as internal clients both in the UK and overseas.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Ports and Marine Engineering experience
- CEng / IEng qualified in civil or structural engineering – or anticipating achieving this status imminently
- Be able to obtain SC Clearance
