  • Develop water quality models (which could be physico-chemical, biological, bacterial, or chemical) using industry standard software e.g. MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT and/or ICM.
  • Conceptualisation and scoping of modelling approaches, with consideration of the risks and opportunities in each.
  • Undertaking and checking hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2 and WINFAP.

  • Keep up-to-date with developments in legislation and guidelines that may affect our services.
  • Use AECOM’s project management systems to deliver high-quality outputs to our clients in line with the agreed programme and budget.
  • Work closely with our clients and teams of engineers and technical specialists to help our clients deliver a wide range of fluvial, coastal, surface water or drainage flood risk management projects.

We are a close-knit team of engineers, technicians, hydrologists, hydraulic modellers and project managers. Some of us spend most of our working time in the office, and some regularly work from home. We meet every week to check in, share news and plan work. We work hard to give our team development opportunities, whether that is a secondment to see the client’s perspective, an assignment to spend time on site to manage a construction contract, or arranging training to allow you to grow.

Why Join Us:
  • Be part of a dynamic team that tackles challenging and impactful water projects.
  • Work alongside industry-leading professionals and thought leaders.
  • Engage in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Opportunity to progress in this role in line with your professional development, the growth of the team and the success and growth of our water business.
