b Overview /b p As Principal Civil Engineer at AECOM, you lead delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary team. You will shape technical solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive project delivery across the UK and overseas. You’ll mentor junior staff, manage client interactions, and uphold engineering quality on complex schemes from feasibility to detail design. This role offers exposure to high-impact water projects and a chance to advance innovation and sustainability. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li hybrid working /li li career development opportunities /li li volunteering days /li li AECOM University /li li flexible hybrid working model /li li well-being programs /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Collaborate with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists and specialists to deliver projects /li li Liaise with clients to refine scope, price proposals and report progress /li li Produce feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed designs, reports and technical specifications /li li Undertake line management of junior staff and conduct performance evaluations /li li Ensure design compliance with standards and provide expertise for interdisciplinary analyses /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Water sector experience /li li Chartered or Incorporated with ICE, CIWEM or approaching chartered status /li li Experience with engineering assessments, options appraisals, engineering calculations and/or economic appraisals /li li Experience in outline and detailed design in wastewater or water treatment, flood risk management or drainage schemes /li /ul ul li Collaboration /li li Communication /li li Leadership /li li Hydraulic modelling (desirable) /li li Feasibility studies and option appraisals /li li Outline and detailed design of water/wastewater schemes /li /ul
