We invite you to join our growing Stakeholder Engagement, Consultation and Communications team to support complex infrastructure projects across Wales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage communications strategy and delivery plans for major infrastructure projects, including Infrastructure Consent projects and DCOs.
- Create themes, core messages and collateral for diverse audiences: digital users, media, local communities, statutory bodies, technical groups, and elected representatives.
- Identify creative ways to convey complex ideas to broad audiences and manage communication channels, engaging directly with local communities.
- Identify and map key stakeholders, establish engagement strategy and delivery plans for client projects.
- Support consultation delivery: develop surveys, manage stakeholder feedback channels, analyse responses.
- Plan and deliver events (physical and virtual), ensuring safety and wellbeing of attendees; manage logistics, develop tailored materials, Q&A and briefing colleagues.
- Liaise with internal and external clients, maintain high customer service, deliver accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist business development: network and identify opportunities to support growth in Wales.
Qualifications
- Experience in communications, public affairs, or relevant infrastructure sector roles in Wales.
- Strong interest in infrastructure, transport, energy, water, residential and commercial development sectors; ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of Welsh political landscape and Welsh planning system.
- Fluency in Welsh (written and spoken) preferred.
- Proactive, ambitious, collaborative, and innovative in engagement approaches.
- Excellent personal communication skills, culturally aware, focused on inclusion and accessibility.
- Willingness to work flexibly and travel as necessary.
- Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g., Social Science, History, Politics, Geography, Law, Business) or equivalent experience.
