As our latest Civil Infrastructure Engineer you will be part of an established, experienced national civil engineering team, headquartered in Birmingham. You will work on a diverse range of development infrastructure projects, across all stages and for a variety of clients, and contribute to a proactive learning environment within a wider national community of infrastructure engineers.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for and undertake design or elements of design, with appropriate support and supervision.
- Manage or contribute to the management of the technical, financial and management requirements of projects.
- Play an active part in the project assurance process, including taking part in technical reviews.
- Provide a client‑focused service that results in ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
- Build effective relationships within teams across the organisation.
- Oversee and direct the work of junior team members.
- Mentor developing graduates.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering Degree and/or master’s degree.
- Relevant experience in UK development‑related infrastructure engineering, typically from a private or consultancy background.
- Ability to produce design of highways, access roads and infrastructure for development projects, including road geometry, public realm, earthworks, pavements, drainage and services.
- Understanding of relevant standards and guidance.
- Knowledge of road design using 3D computer modelling packages such as Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of drainage design, including piped systems and SuDS, and familiarity with design programmes such as InfoDrainage.
