Join our Water Team as a Senior CAD Technician. Support a talented team of engineers and consultants, and shape the future of the water industry. Based in Glasgow with a flexible hybrid working model. At AECOM, we deliver an exceptional portfolio of water programmes and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients, including major water companies.
Responsibilities
- Digital Delivery: Responsible for developing design outputs from initial concepts through to fully detailed design deliverables.
- Utilise Digital Tools: Encourage the use of digital tools to review, influence, and enhance design quality processes.
- Champion BIM: Promote, articulate, and lead BIM behaviours on the projects.
- Coordinate Project Deliverables: Support coordination of deliverables for multiple projects, ensuring completion within budget. Provide support and management of project resources to facilitate production of deliverables.
- Team Relationship: Be proactive in relationships with internal project stakeholders, reporting progress or highlighting any technical issues for timely resolution.
- Maintain Standards: Support the CAD Lead in maintaining CAD standards, best practices, and processes for modelling, content creation, and advanced digital developments.
- Design Team Meetings: Actively participate and input to design team meetings, bringing a digital-by-default mindset, championing the use of 3D model reviews and markups.
- Mentor Junior Technicians: Work across the Scotland offices supporting junior Revit Technicians, from a technical perspective.

Qualifications
- Certified minimum of HND or Equivalent in an engineering discipline, e.g. Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Project Information Delivery: Experience in delivering project information in accordance with BIM standards.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in using Civil 3D or Revit, with experience in validating and coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software.
- Experience in Common Data Environment: Such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar.
