AECOM is seeking a Water Group Director to lead our Water business across New Zealand. This is your chance to drive impactful change in a role that balances client engagement, project oversight, and team leadership. Balancing the world’s need for safe, reliable water with protecting this critical natural resource for the future requires a deep understanding of interconnected systems. We work with clients across the entire project life cycle — from initial planning studies through final construction and operations and maintenance services — on both traditional and alternative project-delivery options.
We have a unique leadership opportunity to join our Water Line of Business as a Group Director. Inspiring our industry leading and highly motivated team of Water and Geotechnical professionals in delivering critical diverse Water projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and internationally.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Project Oversight: Lead a diverse portfolio of water and geotechnical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations.
- People & Internal Initiatives: Inspire and develop your team, fostering a collaborative culture that prioritises growth and excellence. Engage with current and prospective clients to build effective relationships resulting in revenue growth.

- A proven leader with a strong background in water and geotechnical engineering.
- Excellent client management skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
