Overview
As a Rail Civils design engineer at AECOM, you’ll contribute to delivering rail infrastructure designs across stations, depots, and lineside civils, integrating multi-disciplinary inputs from feasibility through detailed design.
You’ll work within the Civils design team to support major projects for public and private clients, while ensuring quality and solving complex challenges.
This role combines technical leadership with collaboration across teams and stakeholders to advance transport infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Deliver rail civils designs for stations, depots, lineside civils, drainage and related upgrades
- Collaborate with the Civils design team on multi-disciplinary projects from concept to implementation
- Support project quality by addressing client challenges and resolving issues
- Contribute to major multi-disciplinary projects across the Infrastructure lifecycle
- Key requirements
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or working towards
- Recognised engineering qualification or degree in engineering (preferable)
- Knowledge of Civils Design with experience in technical engineering leadership and managing interfaces within projects
