Overview
In this role you will lead digital delivery and advisory for Scotland’s water portfolio, shaping how projects are run with data-driven decision making and emerging tech. You’ll collaborate with the Water Digital Lead, account managers and regional teams to identify opportunities and translate strategy into actionable workplans. You’ll apply AI, data science and automation to drive efficiency and innovation across major frameworks. This is a strategic, cross-project leadership position with a focus on real client impact and scalable digital solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead digital delivery across multiple projects and frameworks in Scotland, ensuring teams have the right tools and capabilities
- Develop and implement digital optimisation strategies in collaboration with the core digital team
- Advise clients on digital transformation approaches, including data governance and platform adoption
- Engage with Client Account Managers to identify opportunities and define delivery requirements
- Champion AI, machine learning and data science adoption across project teams and client engagements
- Identify automation opportunities and develop MVPs with scaling potential
- Support regional delivery teams in adopting latest digital solutions and upskilling
- Lead bid responses and contribute to proposal management for digital-led opportunities
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline
- Strong experience in a digital, data, or technology-focused role within infrastructure or water sector
- Proven track record of leading digital delivery across programmes in complex environments
- Experience with UK water sector clients and regulated frameworks
- Strong data skills including governance, Power BI and Azure; Python is preferred
- Ability to translate digital strategy into measurable, deliverable workplans
- Experience facilitating client workshops and contributing to bids
