Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a CAD Technician in our rapidly growing Scottish offices (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Perth). The role supports a team of talented technicians and shapes the future of the water industry with a flexible hybrid working model.
Work independently using an established understanding of civil engineering and best practices, providing meaningful input to the design process. Hold technical responsibility for a major phase or component of a project and take a lead role in workflow coordination. Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines as part of the iterative design process. Provide Civil 3D modelling support to the engineering team, utilising Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and document management systems. Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established methods and work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and simple tests. Support the CAD Lead in maintaining CAD standards, best practices, and processes for modelling, content creation, and advanced digital developments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D; familiarity with Autodesk ReCap, Revit, and experience coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software.
- Experience working in a Common Data Environment such as ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
