Job Description AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for the London/ Kitchener, Ontario office.
Job Summary You will support projects across Water & Wastewater, Transportation, Buildings, and Sustainability sectors, including renewable energy (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. You will work under moderate supervision and contribute to a variety of engineering design and analysis tasks while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities Perform electrical analyses, calculations, and routine tests in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Assist in preparing technical specifications, design drawings, memos, and reports.
Identify discrepancies in results and propose solutions using sound engineering judgment.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to fulfill project scope, budget, and timeline.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate the electrical conditions and provide recommendations.
Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers, EITs and technicians.
Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor\’s degree in electrical engineering plus four (4) years of relevant professional experience.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in sectors such as Water & Wastewater, Transportation, Buildings, and Sustainability (PV and EV systems).
Experience in design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or similar.
Solid knowledge of power systems: MV/LV distribution, lighting, controls, renewable energy systems.
Proficiency with engineering calculations and preparing technical documentation.
Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).
Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.
Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.
Self-motivated, detail oriented and multi-tasking.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is CA$65,000.00 – CA$85,000.00.
