Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Senior Hydraulic Modeller in our rapidly growing Edinburgh and Glasgow offices – whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.

In this role, you will be one of the lead technical team members supporting junior members to deliver top quality projects.

We have a collaborative approach to working both within our team and more broadly developing our relationships with the Energy, Environmental and Transportation sectors. We are a dynamic team looking to grow and support the Water Teams across our UK offices.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Lead on developing the technical approach for modelling, hydrology and flooding projects – supported by the wider team.
  • Deliver technically challenging projects for key clients.
  • Support the team fulfilling a thorough quality assurance process.
  • Provide mentoring for junior team members, helping them develop and progress towards chartered status.
  • Become part of our dynamic Water business, which boasts around 700 experts across the UK & Ireland, including 60 team members that sit in Edinburgh that you'd work directly with.
  • Collaborate with top-tier engineers and consultants to deliver a variety of captivating projects, from small initiatives to large-scale ventures, all the way from concept to completion.

A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, GIS, Geography, or similar subject.

Experience in Hydraulic Modelling, GIS or Data Analysis, in particular ArcGIS. Detailed understanding of hydrology in the UK and worldwide.

Experience being the technical lead on hydrology and hydraulic modelling projects.

Proven experience in water consultancy.
