Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Mechanical Engineer in one of our Scotland offices – whilst also taking advantage of work from home days through our hybrid work approach. Here's what you'll do: Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction supportProduce Plant layouts, design drawings and mechanical plant selection including specifications, WIMES Data Sheets, Valve schedules, Equipment Schedules, lifting strategies, hydraulic headloss calculations and P&IDs. For Water ProjectsLiaise and collaborate with our water and other discipline teams including civil, electrical, process and mechanical engineers nationwideVisit site to carry surveys and support of liaisons with clients, contractors & suppliersLead and contribute design review meeting such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs, ALMs and SWIFTSAct as Mechanical Lead on projects including WwTW, WTW and Infrastructure. Supporting the Project Manager and Design Lead to successfully deliver the Mechanical Scope to programme and budgetAssist the Project Manager to set realistic programmes and budgets for Mechanical projectsBe a Line manager for Mechanical Graduate, Engineer and Senior EngineersEnjoy the Perks.
