The UK water industry is gearing up to deliver record-level investments, including a new generation of water supply reservoirs and transfer schemes. We are looking for civil engineers at all levels in the dams & reservoirs space to join one of our growing offices, whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. You will support our clients' ambition and help deliver industry-leading reservoir and dam projects across the UK and further afield. Projects will include safety upgrades, hydropower, new storage and resilience schemes. You will gain hands-on experience, receive expert mentorship, and the opportunity to shape the future of water resource management.
This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to be a part of a talented, diverse team committed to sustainable management of dams and reservoirs working on long-term partnerships with key clients such as the Environment Agency, South West Water, Wessex Water, Southern Water, Thames Water, Severn Trent Water, contractors and private clients.
Here's what you'll do:
- Plan, design, and deliver reservoir and dam projects, including embankments, spillways, outlet works, dam raising, and remediation works.
- Carry out feasibility studies, options appraisals, outline and detailed design, and construction support.
- Undertake dam safety assessments, hydrology studies, flood routing, drawdown assessments, and dam breach analyses.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, drawings, and design documentation.
- Coordinate with Panel Engineers, regulators, water companies and contractors.
- Carry out site inspections, investigations, and asset condition assessments.
- Support bids and proposals, champion sustainability initiatives, and engage in continuous professional development.
