Company Description
Work with Us. Change the World. At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. Whether improving your commute, keeping the lights on, providing access to clean water, or transforming skylines, our work helps people and communities thrive. We are the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, partnering with clients to solve the world’s most complex challenges and build legacies for future generations.
Job Description
Are you ready to lead a key client relationship and shape the future of the water industry? Our UK Water business is looking for two Client Account Managers (CAMs) to support our ambitious growth plans. One will support our work with Anglian Water and Severn Trent, and the other will support our work with Wessex and South West Water.
A Client Account Manager is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships, aligning our services with their priorities and needs, and helping shape how our clients come to market. CAMs are assigned to clients and opportunities who have a significant growth prospect, either through the scale and complexity of the work that they will need to deliver or because they are technically or commercially innovative and have the potential to change our market position as a result.
You will possess a proven track record in managing client accounts, driving business development, and delivering exceptional service in the water sector.
The Team: The AECOM Water team currently has significant market presence across the UK and Ireland, with strong long-term client relationships and workload with various water authorities. There are a number of major water sector opportunities that will come to market in the coming years.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Trusted Partner: You will have a deep understanding of the client, the regulatory environment in which they operate and the future direction and challenges of their business.
- Expertise: You will ensure that we are bringing all AECOM has to offer to clients, maintaining a good understanding of our technical business service offerings.
- Growth: You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the pursuit, overseeing the positioning, win planning and delivery of the bid.
- Collaborate: You will liaise with our internal teams to assess resource availability and assist in assembling delivery teams that maximise our chances of winning future work.
Required expertise:
- Developing, maintaining and implementing an account strategy aimed at positioning for future work.
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of a major pursuit, including effective long-term positioning.
- Prepare and conduct regular account reviews with business leaders to promote transparency and alignment on the account goals and performance.
If you’re passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Join our team, where we don’t just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives.
Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience in the water sector or another relevant sector.
- Experience in client account management and business development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong proposal development and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyse performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
We celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and abilities.
