We are looking for a Civil 3D modelling specialist to support the Renewables Business Unit across all stages of a project, from pre‑feasibility through to detailed design and construction. The role requires independent ownership of civil engineering modelling, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and delivery of comprehensive 3‑D models and supporting documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review Civil 3D models for tracks, roads, intersections, and laydown construction areas, including volume analysis and drainage studies.
- Process and annotate design data and present it as formal project deliverables.
- Maintain document control and versioning of CAD files.
- Operate AutoCAD Civil 3D, the AutoCAD suite and Microsoft Office during internal and external meetings and presentations.
- Process CAD data for use with other engineering software platforms.
- Adhere to client and AECOM CAD standards and ISO19650 framework throughout all CAD activities.
- Produce dynamic 3‑D models, drafting deliverables, and presentation material for project bids and design reviews.
Required Qualifications
- HNC / HND, BSc, BEng, MSc or MEng in engineering, CAD or a related subject (civil engineering preferred).
- Experience within civil engineering industries such as land development, transport, construction, water, waste, mining or surveying.
- Proficient user of AutoCAD Civil 3D in a live project environment.
- Comfortable serving as the primary modeller and providing Civil 3D expertise and guidance to the team.
- Interest in building and leading a modelling team over time.
- A passion for renewables and the energy transition.
- Experience or accreditation with the ISO19650 framework.
