Joining our established and expanding Nuclear team as a Senior Process Engineer means engaging in a diverse and growing array of UK‑based projects. This role offers the opportunity to participate in multi‑disciplinary projects at various stages of their lifecycle, from client consultancy to delivering comprehensive engineering design solutions. Your responsibilities will include client interaction, preparing bids and proposals, and overseeing project delivery in line with AECOM's standards for quality, safety, and environmental care.

Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure that own work meets the necessary legislative, company and project requirements.
- Plan and prioritise own work in line with the project programme(s).
- Develop early career staff via support, guidance and checking of work.
- Act as ‘Designer’ under the CDM 2015 regulations.
- Support Safety Case development via engineering substantiation.
- Take a pragmatic approach to problem solving and apply ‘Engineering Fit for Purpose Judgement’ where appropriate.
- Communicate design development in project meetings and in written reports.
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers to ensure a fully integrated multidisciplinary design.
- Stay abreast of relevant technological advancements and general best practices.

Qualifications
- BSc / BEng Chemical Engineering (Hons).
- Ideally Chartered Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers or near Chartered.
- 5 years or more post‑degree experience working as a Process Engineer.
- Good awareness of the nuclear industry in the UK.
- Experience working within a regulated and quality‑assured industry in roles reliant upon pragmatic design judgement and where design was a major part of the role.
- Demonstrable record of successful implementation and delivery of process engineering work packages.
- Experience in the implementation of Health and Safety processes, regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with different forms of contract, in particular NEC.
- Able to meet the requirements for security clearance in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
