Our Eastern Region Cost Management business unit (Cambridge, Norwich and Peterborough offices) continues to grow, with specific demand within the Education, Healthcare, Science, Commercial, Residential, Care, Industrial and Defence markets where we have successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and on key local projects and programs. As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full-time Cost Management Director, with proven experience across these specific end markets.
About Our Team: We are currently a region of over 100 construction professionals, delivering solutions for our diverse client base, providing a broad range of services. This is an excellent opportunity to be a core part of AECOM's leadership team in the East of England and continue to develop and grow an exciting team in the marketplace.
You will be primarily working alongside other Directors to successfully manage, grow and deliver Cost Management duties on various capital projects across the East of England. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from inception to post-occupancy and 'soft landings'. You should possess the skills and experience to actively lead and support the internal team, manage and mentor staff on individual, technically complex projects, ranging from 5m to 200m construction cost; to provide oversight, strategic guidance, audit and review on a portfolio of projects.
You will help develop collaborative relationships with our existing clients and other professional colleagues within the industry. You will be connected, organised and self-motivated, being able to successfully work with minimum supervision. Successful delivery of projects, ensuring tasks are resourced, managed and completed efficiently, on time and with a keen desire to maintain client's satisfaction leading to continued and further business.
Be the primary interface with AECOM's clients (new and existing) with an emphasis on the Education, Healthcare, Science, Commercial, Residential, Care, Industrial and Defence sectors. Proven ability of strong client relationships, ability to actively provide business development opportunities with existing and new clients (ensuring these are identified and acted upon) and secure new commissions. Proven ability to lead, manage and deliver business development opportunities through writing and converting bid commissions, to high quality standards and completing efficiently and on time.
Proven leadership within a cost management business and providing mentoring to the team. Proven ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, effectively balancing people and processes. Manage the delivery of cost management outputs in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards. Proven experience in a consulting environment/client organisation providing the full spectrum of Cost Management services.

Highly motivated and with excellent industry networks. Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management. Full UK driving licence, and a willingness to travel within region. CSCS card holder. Preferable Eligible for, or holding, UK Security Clearance.
