Job Description

Start here. Grow here. Are you ready to support a team of talented engineers and shape the future of the water industry? We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our growing Water Team in Bristol. We are delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long term frameworks with key clients including Wessex Water, South West Water, Southern Water and Thames Water.

As part of our thriving business, you’ll take on rewarding multi-disciplinary projects from inception to delivery, creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities. This role represents a great opportunity to develop your career as a technical engineer and provide solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the technical challenges of today and tomorrow.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Support design and feasibility studies across potable, foul, surface water, and attenuation projects.
  • Use design and analysis software to assess water systems and structures.
  • Develop infrastructure designs including pump systems and pipe networks, with a focus on safety and buildability.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, hydraulic modellers and other technical specialists to deliver impactful solutions for our key clients.
  • Gain valuable on-site experience through site visits and project implementation, enhancing your understanding of how designs translate into real-world outcomes.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent).
  • Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
  • Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a digital delivery environment using BIM and 3D design tools.
  • Working towards chartership status with a relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.
