The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 £ per year.

Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Team, we are seeking a Senior Safety Case Expert to participate in multi‑disciplinary projects at various stages of the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead nuclear safety case development and maintenance for civil and defence projects.
  • Support client & stakeholder engagement, including regulatory compliance, standards, guidance, and regulator interactions.
  • Assist in bidding and procurement processes, ensuring safety case requirements are met.
  • Deliver safety case documents and facilitate reviews throughout all project stages, from concept to commissioning.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members and support knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to training delivery and identify best‑practice improvements.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Honours (2:1 or above) or Masters degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent.
  • Chartered (or working toward chartership) in a STEM discipline with a professional institution.
  • Proven experience developing nuclear safety cases in civil and/or defence sectors.
  • Experience in mentoring, training and coaching.
  • Demonstrated competency at the level required by the Nuclear Safety Case Discipline SQEP framework.
  • Security clearance to Security Check (SC) level.
