Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Team, we are looking to enhance our technical capabilities and are seeking an experienced Safety Case Expert to join our team. This role offers the chance to participate in multi-disciplinary projects at various stages of the lifecycle, from client consultancy to comprehensive turn-key solutions.

In this high-profile role, you will be the first point of direct contact with clients, partners, and contractors. You will oversee key projects from concept to delivery including design, procurement, subcontract, factory acceptance, installation, site acceptance and commissioning.

This role is ideal for an experienced safety case expert, offering you the chance to work on a variety of the highest profile, short and long-term projects within the sector, and being involved and overseeing the full project cycle end-to-end.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Leadership & Management: Nuclear safety case expert who will support management across the nuclear portfolio in AECOM. Supports the development of the strategy for growing the nuclear safety case capability in AECOM. Supports the management of the nuclear safety case team.
  • Technical Delivery: Acts as a subject matter expert with respect to winning work, supporting the bidding process with respect to nuclear safety. Responsible for strategic safety case delivery on projects. Advises AECOM leadership teams and clients on regulatory compliance, standards and guidance. Applies knowledge and experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions to move projects forward. Provides mentoring and coaching for the nuclear safety case team.

Desired qualifications:

  • MEng/BEng in Science or Engineering subject (or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer in relevant discipline (or working towards)
