Job Description

Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last? In this position, you will be required to lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery under the supervision of a Director or Regional Lead. You will need to provide oversight, strategic guidance, audit and review to a portfolio of projects at any one time. At times you may also need to provide effective support to other Project Managers on larger projects. The duties are to ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time. Part of this role is also to develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team whilst being the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing) and manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards.

As a Senior Project Manager you will get the opportunity to work on various projects in the public and private sector. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions. Within your role you will carry out and not be limited to the following tasks:

  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
  • Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
  • Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
  • Manages more complex clients and projects.
  • Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
  • Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
  • Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree
  • Chartered Status with the MAPM, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification
  • Work experience within a similar consultancy or other client facing business
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts ideally JCT and NEC and the built environment
  • Excellent understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
