Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last? In this position, you will be required to lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery under the supervision of a Director or Regional Lead.

You will need to provide oversight, strategic guidance, audit & review to a portfolio of projects at any one time. At times you may also need to provide effective support to other Project Managers on larger projects.

The duties are to ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time. Part of this role is also to develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team whilst being the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing) and manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards.

As a Senior Project Manager you will get the opportunity to work on various projects in the public and private sector. You will manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects and be responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects. You will consistently complete projects without write-downs or multiplier erosion.

You will typically manage projects involving Risk Triggering Factors (RTF), manage more complex clients and projects, have decision-making authority, and direct other Project Managers in recognising risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such. You will direct staff to operate and minimise exposure to claims and supervise and direct Project Managers with multiple projects or programmes of projects.

Professional qualifications ideally include a Project Management/Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree and Chartered Status with the MAPM, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution. Relevant degree or professional qualification, work experience within a similar consultancy or other client-facing business, excellent communication and organisational skills, and an excellent understanding of construction contracts ideally JCT and NEC and the built environment are essential.

Additionally, an excellent understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 is required.
