Job Description
Our BIM Coordinators are part of the design team who lead and coordinate the process of generating digital models and integrated data referred to as ‘Information’ about a project, from design to construction.
You will be a key figure in a project team responsible for the BIM workflow, ensuring prompt resolution of issues during model authoring, design coordination, clash detection, and data embedding.
You will serve as the go‑to person for setting project‑specific guidelines and ensuring information linkage across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Proficient use of BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentorship to the project/delivery team.
- Manage and maintain project content and source additional content as required.
- Communicate changes in procedures and standards effectively to project teams.
- Coordinate and manage BIM project datasets/workflow and project set‑up.
- Provide cross‑team support and effective communication.
- Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
- Daily model management administration, maintenance and assurance.
- Contribute to the preparation of BIM Execution Plans, TIDPs/MIDPs, MPDT, Responsibility Matrices and project‑specific training guides.
- Implement standards and industry best practice through design, construction and handover.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Qualifications
- Ability to work and coordinate with key stakeholders.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, able to write and edit internal and external documentation.
- Hands‑on experience within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Bentley and Autodesk suite (Revit, Navisworks/Solibri, CAD), and familiarity with CDE solutions such as ACC and Aconex.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, Share Point and Power BI (advantage).
- Experience in digital construction and advanced BIM technology.
- Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management, or an HNC/HND.
UK resident and able to obtain clearance.
