At AECOM, we are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Belfast office.

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering building projects in Northern Ireland across the full project lifecycle from initial concept and design development through procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from inception through to completion, covering design, procurement, site delivery, and commissioning phases.
  • Collaborating with the wider project management team to successfully deliver capital investment projects.
  • Acting as the primary day-to-day client contact, ensuring client objectives are clearly understood and achieved.
  • Assisting with project management commissions and taking full accountability for successful project delivery.
  • Planning, directing, and supervising all activities associated with moderately sized projects involving moderate risk, complexity, and financial impact.
  • Supporting the operational performance and continuous improvement of the AECOM project management team in Belfast.
  • Demonstrating recent experience in delivering projects across RIBA Stages 0-7.
  • Administration of NEC ECC contracts.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring experience within the buildings sector, along with the following qualifications and professional credentials:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Currently working towards Chartered status with one of the following professional bodies: RICS / CIOB / ICE / RIBA / Engineers Ireland.
  • Membership or affiliation with APM would be advantageous.
  • NEC4 ECC PM Accreditation would also be advantageous.
