AECOM's Surface Transportation Team in Ireland is thriving due to significant growth fueled by a robust pipeline of major Roads, Public Transport and Greenway programmes. We are seeking a driven and experienced Civil Engineer (or Infrastructure Engineer) to join our Highways team in Belfast.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will:

  • Manage design packages on a diverse range of projects from concept to construction stage.
  • Know and apply UK and/or Irish design standards to create safe, people-focused transport solutions.
  • Deliver high quality deliverables and service to our clients, meeting our quality standards and their expectations.
  • Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, guiding them through technical challenges.
  • Develop our team, through mentoring of apprentices.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Post-graduate experience in relevant areas such as civil engineering, highways, public transport and greenways.
  • Knowledge and experience in the relevant design standards in the UK and Ireland.
  • Knowledge of contract documentation for major transport projects.
  • Experience in working within teams of varying sizes and capabilities.
