Job Description

Start here. Grow here. Are you driven to help reduce our impact on the climate? We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven record in helping to manage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions across a range of projects from discrete local schemes through to high profile nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will support clients in transport, power, renewable energy and water to help them deliver their projects in a low carbon and sustainable way. The role sits in our growing Carbon and ESG Practice consisting of over 50 people located across the UK. The Practice provides services in decarbonisations, climate risk, circular economy, waste management, social impact and sustainability to corporates and organisations as well as to infrastructure providers. You will be working with the Practice leadership and Carbon Service Line lead to grow greenhouse gas advisory services in line with business strategy and priorities. As our Carbon & ESG team covers UK & I, and we support hybrid working, we are flexible in terms of base location. This position can be based from our offices in Birmingham, Basingstoke, Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Nottingham, or Manchester.

We are looking for a person with the following:

  • Demonstrable greenhouse gas management and reporting expertise: Excellent working knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting methodologies including GHG Protocol, PAS2080 and ISO 14000 series; Working knowledge of UK/EU GHG policy and legislation; Working knowledge of the GHG/climate change Environmental Impact Assessment Process; Excellent understanding of greenhouse gas emissions and associated mitigations across a range of sectors (power/transportation/water); Experience of leading the development of carbon management plans/Net Zero Transition Plans.
  • A desire to deliver a quality service: Strong attention to detail and a desire to drive quality outputs.
  • People management: Experience of managing, motivating and developing staff.
  • Business development: Commercial awareness for technical and project delivery, business development, marketing, and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Experience of delivering GHG management services in the power / renewable energy / carbon capture / water transportation sectors; Experience of providing carbon advisory services to corporates / industrials; Experience of developing greenhouse gas targets; Understanding of nature-based solutions / offsetting.
