Job Summary
You will perform structural design and analysis for building and infrastructure projects, lead technical assessments, prepare detailed reports and tender documents, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to develop design sketches and drawings that clearly communicate the arrangement and design intent for underground structures.
- Conduct engineering assessments and evaluations of existing structures and potential alternatives, preparing comprehensive technical reports to document findings.
- Prepare design briefs, technical reports, technical notes, and submission documents for regulatory authorities.
- Deliver cost-effective design solutions that comply with statutory regulations and client requirements.
- Coordinate with architects and other consultants to resolve interface issues and provide technical clarifications.
- Prepare tender documents including conditions of contract, specifications, and tender drawings.
- Manage project activities across all stages including study, planning, design, tendering, and construction.
- Provide specialized technical solutions and expert advice to clients to address complex engineering challenges.
- Liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders including clients, contractors, and relevant parties to ensure project alignment.
- Communicate proactively and mentor team members to support their continuous professional development.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural design for infrastructure or building projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM software to enhance design productivity and accuracy.
- Strong project management skills to oversee project delivery and coordination.
- Registration with PEB Singapore is advantageous but not mandatory.
