Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced electrical distribution systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications
- Develop and review technical documents such as design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams
- Perform complex equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, cables, and other electrical components
- Utilize cutting‑edge system studies software to model electrical systems and conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection relay setting studies
- Oversee project teams and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and regulations, implementing best practices in electrical engineering
- Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex electrical issues
- Contribute to the development of company standards and procedures for electrical engineering projects
Requirements
- Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems and distribution
- Proven expertise in designing low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
- Proficiency in using system studies software such as ETAP, SKM, or Amtech
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including IEEE, NEC, and IEC
- Experience with CAD software for electrical design and drafting
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong leadership abilities and project management experience
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior engineers
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest technological advancements in electrical engineering
