We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resident Technical Officer (Mechanical & Electrical) with 2 years contract to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the mechanical and electrical systems of our project:
- Good co-ordination skills and good technical knowledge of M&E systems/equipment, including security systems.
- To carry out regular site supervision and inspection of the works/materials including any off-site production as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that mechanical and electrical works, including security systems, are constructed to required quality, accuracy and workmanship.
- To monitor work in progress in accordance to Approved Master Schedules with breakdown to Monthly, Weekly and Daily programmes.
- To assist the RE on daily, weekly and monthly reports of site progress as per contractor's approved program, activities, issues and resolutions.
- To check and verify reports, variations and progress claims submitted by contractors, including as built quantity for the variations.
- To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the SO and RE.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance or facility management.
- Proven experience in overseeing construction projects, particularly in M&E systems and security systems.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to M&E systems.
- Experience with quality control processes and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
