Job Summary
Senior Safety Case Expert – Nuclear.
Lead the development and delivery of nuclear safety cases, support client engagement and regulatory interactions, and mentor the nuclear safety case team across AECOM (Civil and Defence).
Responsibilities
- Lead nuclear safety case development and delivery on projects from concept to completion.
- Support bidding process and assist in winning work related to nuclear safety.
- Advisory on regulatory compliance, standards and guidance; facilitate interactions with regulators and safety committees.
- Mentor and coach the nuclear safety case team; deliver training and share multidisciplinary knowledge.
- Maintain resource competence (SQEP) and keep informed of new developments impacting the organization.
Qualifications
- Honours (2:1 or above) or Masters degree in a STEM discipline (or an equivalent mixture of qualifications and experiences from the UK nuclear industry).
- Chartered status (or working towards) in a STEM discipline with a Professional Institution.
- Experience developing nuclear safety cases in civil and/or defence nuclear sectors.
- Experience in providing mentoring, training and coaching activities.
- Demonstrated competencies at a level commensurate with the role as defined in the Nuclear Safety Case Discipline Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) Competency Framework.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance to Security Check (SC) level.
