Key Responsibilities
- Social Value Lead across multiple infrastructure projects
- Development of social value strategies to deliver on client social value objectives
- Development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to enable clients to track and assess performance against social value targets
- Oversee the production of client‑ready social value reporting
- Managing day‑to‑day client relationships and, where relevant, third‑party contractors and other stakeholders
- Providing guidance and insight to clients to enhance social value delivery on projects, and sharing best practices
- Understanding of procurement process in the context of large‑scale infrastructure projects and associated social value opportunities
- Developing new social value work‑winning opportunities, including undertaking business development activities and supporting the preparation of proposals
Key Experience and Skills
- Proven experience gained within a consultancy or client organisation with a focus on social value work
- Knowledge and evidenced understanding of the implications of the Public Sector Services Act 2012, PPN 001 & PPN002 and other legislation in relation to planning, major infrastructure and urban regeneration
- Experience writing social value tender submissions and supporting work‑winning activities
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead small teams to deliver social value requirements on projects
- Experience engaging with partners or stakeholders such as employment and educational organisations, social enterprises and charities to develop and maximise social value outcomes
- Data analysis, management and presentation skills (strong Excel skills, and experience working with Social Value Portal TOMs System and Thrive would be an advantage)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including experience in leading and chairing meetings
