As a Senior Project Surveyor, you will help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion. You will work on a number of projects, varying in complexity, ranging in value from £5m – £500m.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to junior members of staff including but not limited to Graduates and Apprentices.
  • Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
  • Manage the delivery of cost management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Provide full Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
  • Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
  • Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
  • Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Residential, Commercial, and Education sector experience would be advantageous.
  • Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Senior Cost Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
  • CSCS card.
