Responsibilities
- Design: Create and modify project drawings using CAD software, perform calculations, and support design tasks.
- Project Management Support: Assist with research, data gathering, and report preparation.
- Field Visits: Participate in site surveys, inspections, and shadow experienced engineers on supervision.
- Collaboration & Communication: Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other professionals to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges.
Qualifications
- BEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
- MEng or related MSc in Civil/Environmental Engineering is an advantage.
- Water-related modules are an advantage.
- Relevant work experience is an advantage.
- Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, ambitious and driven.
- Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and good report-writing skills.
- Willing and able to pursue professional qualifications such as ICE or CIWEM.
- Demonstrable interest in water projects.
- Ability to consider the wider financial and commercial implications of actions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to structure and prioritise work and work independently while maintaining initiative and focus.
