Job Description

Start here. Grow here. Our BIM Coordinators are an integral part of the design team who lead and coordinate the process of generating digital models and integrated data often referred as ‘Information’ about a project, from the design stage, to the construction stage.

You will be a key figure in a project team and will be responsible for the BIM workflow and ensuring that any potential issues during model authoring, design coordination and clash detection as well as activities around the embedding of data is dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. You will be the go-to person for setting up project specific guidelines for task teams and responsible for ensuring that information is linked across disciplines.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project/delivery team.
  • Manage and maintain project content and source any additional content as required.
  • Understand and ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project datasets/workflow and project set-up.
  • Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support.
  • Set-up linked models and coordinate models across various disciplines.
  • Daily model management administration, maintenance and assurance.
  • Contribute with the preparation of BIM Execution Plans, TIDPs/MIDPs, MPDT, Responsibility Matrices and project specific training guides.
  • Develop an understanding executing standards and industry best practice by implementing these during design phase and continuing into the construction phase and eventual close out and handover.
  • Become familiar and adapt with manage and coordinate sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Ability to work and coordinate with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to write and edit both internal and external documentation.
  • Hands-on experience within the construction industry will be greatly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to write and edit documentation, both internal and external.
  • Proficient in Bentley and Autodesk suites including software such as Revit, Navisworks/Solibri, CAD, CDE solutions such as ACC and Aconex.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating suite, Teams, SharePoint and PowerBI an advantage.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

  • Working experience, ideally in the discipline of digital construction and experience of advanced BIM technology would be advantageous.
  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or Construction Management, BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or a HNC / HND.
  • Must be a UK resident and able to obtain clearance.
