Are you a talented and ambitious Senior Cost Manager based in the South East or Anglia and looking to work on exciting infrastructure projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last? We are looking for Cost Managers to support our exciting growth plans, working with our key infrastructure clients in the South East and Anglia, particularly in the water, environment and power transmission and distribution sectors, supporting the successful delivery of their capital projects and programmes of work. You will be joining an established team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion, working with peers and Directors, client and others as required; Including (but not limited to) feasibility estimates, cost planning (presenting with no supervision), contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering and commercial awareness, fee generation, risk management, dispute resolution, post contract management (competent in cost reporting), agreement of final accounts.
- Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.
- Help drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process and AECOM technical practice networks.
- Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.
- Actively support the internal team and support more junior staff on technically complex projects.
- Develop marketing opportunities and where appropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the Business Development Department, in order that they may assist in following up potential leads enabling the development of new business.

Qualifications:
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience and strong track record in the Cost Management/Quantity Surveying field, ideally working on large scale infrastructure projects.
- Good working knowledge of NEC4 suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
- Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
- Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement would be of benefit.
- Ability to identify and influence key client stakeholders, building effective relationships to grow workload/portfolio.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent). Accredited MRICS (or working towards membership).
