With a strong passion and interest in Evaluation and Benefits Management, this Technical Specialist role in our Transportation team is a leadership position focused on supporting growth in our evaluation and benefits management business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives to grow the evaluation and benefits management work area.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, providing strategic advice to ensure their goals are met with robust solutions.
- Technical Excellence: Providing oversight to the delivery of complex evaluation and benefits management projects, enhancing technical capability and delivering high-quality deliverables.
- Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the evaluation and benefits management sector, preparing bids and proposals.
- Team Development: Supporting recruitment, mentoring, and development of the evaluation and benefits management team, promoting diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications:
- Extensive experience of working in the evaluation field.
- Higher degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Chartered Status or Membership in professional bodies such as CIHT, TPS or UK Evaluation Society.
- Practical experience of applying mixed methods in evaluation.
- Proven expertise in theory based and experimental/quasi-experimental evaluation design for transport-related projects.
- Strong analytical competencies applicable to a consultancy setting.
- Critical thinker with problem-solving mindset.
- Strong leadership, team management and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport planning principles, policies, and regulations in the UK.
