Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a CAD Technician in our rapidly growing Scottish offices (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Perth).
The role supports a team of talented technicians and shapes the future of the water industry with a flexible hybrid working model.
Job Description
- Work independently using an established understanding of civil engineering and best practices, providing meaningful input to the design process.
- Hold technical responsibility for a major phase or component of a project and take a lead role in workflow coordination.
- Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines as part of the iterative design process.
- Provide Civil 3D modelling support to the engineering team, utilising Autodesk Civil 3D, Auto CAD, and document management systems.
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established methods and work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and simple tests.
- Support the CAD Lead in maintaining CAD standards, best practices, and processes for modelling, content creation, and advanced digital developments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Auto CAD and Autodesk Civil 3D; familiarity with Autodesk Re Cap, Revit, and experience coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software.
- Experience working in a Common Data Environment such as Project Wise or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
